Winter is slowly coming to a finish, which means many things for Boston: We can begin to run outside again. The Red Sox will be back soon. And, with the arrival of spring, we can look forward to Patriots Day and Boston Marathon weekend.
Some of us will be running in the marathon and could use some natural and delicious eateries at which to find fuel. Some of us aren’t quite at marathon level, but still feel inspired by the warm weather and the race.
No matter where you fall on the endurance sports spectrum, take a look at our list of healthy places to eat during Boston Marathon weekend.
This Boston-based juice bar is a short walk from the Boxer Boston, within minutes of Boston Government Center. The shop’s aim of offering pure sustenance for physically active individuals falls perfectly in line with the vibe of Marathon weekend. Cocobeet has everything you need in the form of cold-pressed juices, raw vegan food, superfood smoothies and organic juice cleanses. Some of our favorite juices from Cocobeet are Green Genes — kale, spinach cucumber, celery, apple, parsley, lemon and ginger — and Biome Builder — pineapple, cucumber, aloe H20, Coconut H20, apple cider vinegar, lemon and lime.

There are two major reasons why Rhythm ‘n Wraps is a great place to eat on Boston Marathon weekend. Firstly, they are a food truck, which is super fun. The truck frequents the Government Center area nearby the Boxer Boston. The second reason is the flavor-packed and dynamic menu of awesome vegetarian wraps. We love everything the shop offers, making it hard to pick favorites, but we can try.
The Fire Wrap with Mexican chipotle vegan sausage, chipotle mayo, greens, salsa, guacamole, sour cream and a cheddar mozzarella blend is big favorite. We also are quite partial to the Ol’ School Wrap with smoked apple sage vegan sausage, BBQ ranch dressing, caramelized onions, greens and tomatoes. They also serve salads and sides. Follow the truck on Twitter to find these delicious vegetarian eats!

Fruitata is another excellent and healthy place to eat during Boston Marathon weekend this April. This amazing juice bar offers up an excellent menu filled with progressive concoctions made to improve your body. They offer up a nice variety of signature blend juices and here are a few of our favorites. The Karachi Kale mixes in kale, apple, pepper, celery, lemon and ginger in an unbelievably tangy swirl. The Sydney Sweet Potato is another unique and delicious juice mixing sweet potato with apples, beets, carrots, red pepper and lemon. Any of these drinks will get your taste buds buzzing and your body running with the rest of the city this coming Marathon weekend!

Finch Restaurant, located in the heart of Downtown Boston, provides a delicious array of progressive American cuisine, ranging from hearty favorites like pasta to lighter fare like roasted salmon. Finch, which also offers a full complement of cocktails for your post-race celebration, provides plenty of healthy dining options. The roasted salmon with sauteed vegetables is always a favorite amongst more health-conscious diners. The spinach tomato gemelli is also a rich and nutrient filled meal, providing a solid serving of pasta that can serve as a great opportunity for runners to carbo-load before the race!
