This year marks the first ever BeerAdvocate Microbrew Invitational. BeerAdvocate, a website founded to support and promote better beer, is responsible for the American Craft Beer Festival, the East Coast’s largest celebration of American craft beer. The Microbrew Invitational aims to raise awareness for microbrewers who may not get as much exposure as they deserve. A microbrewery is defined as a brewery that produces less than 15,000 barrels (465,000 gallons) of beer per year. Despite the event’s name, it will feature cider, sake and other beverages from over 70 microbreweries. Tickets cost $55 per session and include all of the microbrews that you drink.
