For six blocks on Columbus Ave, Berklee students will take over the street for the annual Berklee Beantown Jazz Festival, bringing thousands of attendees to the area. With live performances, an instrument petting zoo, interactive readings (including Martin Luther King’s “I Have a Dream Speech”), this event is not to be missed. The instrument petting zoo allows festival-goers to tinker with different instruments; Berklee students and faculty show attendees how they work. There will be three stages where live performances will take place, as well as food and beverage vendors. The festival is easily accessible via the Orange Line, Green Line, and various bus routes. And the best part: this event is free for everyone.
