The Boston Flower and Garden Show makes its annual return to the Seaport World Trade Center this March. From a series of beautifully presented and curated gardens to competitions featuring the best floral arrangers and gardeners in the country to a slew of different events and activities, there’s a lot of botany to look forward to. For those of us who step into a backyard or stroll through a park and look critically and creatively at its layout and quality, this Boston flower show will serve as an in-depth and educational look into the world of flowers and gardens.
At the visual center of the show will be a series of professionally landscaped and designed gardens. The displays create a naturalistic vision throughout the entire Seaport World Trade Center, almost like an organization of artisanal gardens in a science fair format. Viewers can peruse each unique construction of different plants, materials and creative methods used throughout the extensive series of displays. On the cusp of spring, this year’s show will feature a “Season of Enchantment” theme to up the spirit and joy behind the event.
Complementing the garden series will be a long list of exhibitors who come from a vast array of businesses and disciplines while still sharing the common thread of being leaders in the flower and garden world. Brooklyn Botanicals will be present to share their visionary approach to urban agriculture. M Street Potters will showcase their expert contemporary stoneware creations for gardens, sculptures and various articles of furniture. MoTown Mushrooms will introduce visitors to their extensive collection of mushrooms, recipes and fungal based products.
The variety of exhibitors at the Boston Flower and Garden show will be excitedly reflected in the various events taking place over the course of the four day show. There will be opportunities for guests to enjoy various lectures and demonstrations, Q&A sessions with industry experts, floral design competitions and more.
In this world of flower and gardens, there truly isn’t an event that takes such a widespread and fun approach to exhibition. Whether you’re a gardener or not, there’s sure to be something interesting for you at the Boston Flower and Garden Show.
