The Head of the Charles is the longest two-day regatta in the world. Over 11,000 athletes compete, and the event draws around 300,000 spectators each year. Three of the most important locations for spectators during the weekend are the Reunion Village, the Weld Exhibition, and the Rowing and Fitness Expo. The Reunion Village is at the halfway point of the route and features a dining tent, a beer garden, play-by-play commentary and great views of the race. On the other side of the river, the Weld Exhibition is another lively area where official race sponsors offer delicious food and free samples. The Expo, located near the finish line, will have vendors like New Balance and Brooks Brothers, as well as top rowing apparel brands and boat manufacturers. Make sure to catch one of Boston’s most exciting events!
