Taking advantage of the bountiful birdwatching opportunities available in New England during the winter, the Superbowl of Birding will be holding its 12th annual competition at the end of this coming January. The competition is comprised by teams of 4 to 7 birdwatchers who spend the day exploring maps of either Essex County, Mass., or Rockingham County, N.H. The competition rewards teams with points for observing a high number of birds and a wide variety of less common species.
Just a short ride out of the city from the Boxer Boston, the Superbowl of Birding is one of the coolest and most unique annual events in the Boston metro area. Stay in the city before heading out for a beautiful day of birding during the upcoming 2015 Superbowl of Birding.
