This holiday, come see the zoo sparkle at Zoo Lights, where all of the Boston Zoo is lit up with decorative lights, making the tree lined paths of the zoo sparkle and shine. Visit the Stone Zoo location from November 27 until January 4 and experience the perfect holiday event for the whole family. Take advantage of the opportunity to meet and take photographs with Stone Zoo’s reindeer. Don’t miss Mrs. Claus’ appearances on December 3, 10, 17 and 24 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. And on Friday December 12 from 5-7:00 p.m., enjoy season holiday music and giveaways from Magic 106.7 on
The Zoo Lights magic continues on November 30 from 5-9:00 p.m., when The American Cancer Society hosts a Luminaria Night as part of the Zoo Lights celebration. During this celebration, bags of luminaria (candle filled paper bags with decorations on them) will help light up the Zoo light festivities on this special evening. On December 6, 13 and 14 don’t miss holiday hot chocolate with Santa’s reindeer from 4:15-5:00 p.m. Enjoy hot cocoa, cookies,a photo opportunity with the reindeer and an opportunity to meet with zoo staff to ask any animal questions you may have. The registration fee for holiday hot coco with the reindeer is $20 for non-members ($15 for members) and children under 2 are free.
At the Franklin Park Zoo, don’t miss Breakfast with Santa Saturdays (December 6, 13 and 20 from 8:30-10:00 a.m.) Bring the entire family and a camera as this is surely an event to remember, the breakfast includes scrambled eggs, “Pracer’s” pancakes, “ho ho” hot chocolate and an assortment of other delicious breakfast items. The cost for this event is $22.99 for members and member guests and is $29.99 for non-members. To add to the fun this event is taking place in Franklin Park Zoo’s Tropical Forest Building home to gorillas, lemurs, hippos and anteaters!
