Step back into the revolutionary era in Boston, Massachusetts this coming 4th of July. Boston Harborfest 2014 is a festival that commemorates and resurrects the themes and styles of the city’s colonial past. Boston by Land and Water

There are several fascinating versions of this tour, depending on which time and day they are held. Meetings, Mobs and Martyrs focuses on the perseverance of Boston’s original settlers by exploring places such as the Boston Massacre Site and the Old State House. From Allegiance to Revolution explores the transition of revolutionary Bostonians from loyal citizens of the British Empire into citizens fighting for their independence. This tour visits sites such as Paul Revere’s house and the Old North Church. Footloose on the Freedom Trail is an extended 3-hour walking tour which spans from the storied Boston Common to the U.S.S. On the actual 4th of July, Boston Harborfest hosts an evening fireworks cruise. Liberty Fleet Fireworks Sail offers a late-night picnic and sail to enjoy one of the most extravagant fireworks shows in the nation.
