At the end of this April, the wildly successful Japan Festival Boston will return to the Boston Common. This annual event is an unmatched exhibition of Japanese culture in Boston that features a variety of different goods and foods from a number of exhibitors.
The Japan Festival Boston will take place during the peak of springtime in New England, on the picturesque grounds of America’s oldest public park.
The Boston Common is located in Downtown Boston, in the heart of this historic metropolis. Surrounded by modern highrises and centuries-old brownstones, it’s the ideal location for Japan Festival Boston. Nearby attractions, including the Downtown Crossing shopping center and the adjacent Boston Public Gardens, are reason enough to visit the Common during your tour of the city.
On the day of the festival, however, you may not ever need to leave the park.
At Japan Festival Boston, attendees can sample ramen from a number of soup shops, including Snappy Ramen, Butanchu, and Nico. Go!Go!Curry! will serve up several different versions of their renowned curry over rice, Sakanaya will offer rice balls, and Beard Papa will dole out their beloved cream puffs.
In addition to experiencing authentic Japanese cuisine, the festival will host four different raffles, awarding prizes for complimentary roundtrip plane tickets to Japan, as well as stays at hotels and resorts in Japan. With the opportunity to take a once-in-a-lifetime trip, to eat Japanese street food, and to dance to traditional, live music, there’s plenty of reasons to check out this year’s Japan Festival Boston.
